Product Information Sheet (11 September 2018)

All Feetfirst Hay is made by us from our unique mix of traditional pasture grasses. It does not contain clover or ryegrass. It is all first cut, top quality hay professionally made specifically for horses and ponies. Every lot has been fully analysed and is always under 10% combined sugar (ESC) and starch, which is advocated by independent experts* for horses and ponies at risk of laminitis or those already suffering an episode of laminitis.

All our hay has now been independently analysed using Wet Chemistry. The great news is that the sugars and starches are lower that indicated from initial tests using NIR. The rankings and therefore the prices of some lots have altered to reflect their lower sugar and starch content.

Feetfirst Hay is ideal where top quality analysed forage is required for weight control, management of Insulin Resistance (IR) / Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS), PPID ( Cushings), laminitis, gastric ulcers, hindgut issues and behaviour issues.
